Sunshine is available for charter and events in the Mediterranean. About Classic Yacht Regattas for corporate promotion:Classic yacht regattas are events which, through the competition, celebration and shore side activities, provide a great spectacle both for invited guests, participants, and the general public alike. Because of the very nature of yachting events, they provide a prestigious marketing platform from which corporate entities that participate in them can benefit in various ways. During the turn of the century and beyond there was a period called "The Great Days of Yachting", a period when the comparative wealth of its participants created a "Sport of Kings". The yachts themselves were grand both in scale and beauty. One of the most important venues on the racing calendar was the Clyde in Scotland, where a significant number of the vessels were actually built and raced by a select group of international owners. In recent years wealthy enthusiasts have recognized the eternal beauty of these classics, and gone about the process of restoring some of the few fine vessels which still exist, back to their former glory, and presenting them at the various regattas which are mostly in the Mediterranean. The Fife's of Fairlie on the Clyde are recognized in the world of Classic Yachts as the designers and builders of some of the most beautiful yachts ever built, a fact recognized by the many great restoration projects of Fife yachts in recent years. "Les Régates Royales" which take place from Cannes in the South of France and Les Voiles de St.Tropez are good examples. In 2017 the Régates Royales attracted 150 classic yachts. |
